Nothing But The Grape has been bringing Organic and Biodynamic wines into the UK for the last 15 years. Knowledge was previously gained from owning and running an Organic Vineyard in the South of France with a belief that Organic methods of farming can produce wines of the highest qualit. We enjoy seeking out really good organic wines from vineyards whose work amongst the vines and in the cellar we greatly admire. We pride ourselves on taking the time to understand and build lasting relationships with both our suppliers and our customers. The majority of our suppliers have built up excellent family run establishments dedicating love, care and attention to the end product.
The wines we will be trying on the night are:
Ciento Volando - Requena, Spain Cava (11.5% ABV) Macabeo 80% and Chardonnay 20% Straw-yellow cava with golden reflections, with fine bubbles, persistent and elegant. It displays aromas of ripe white fruit, with subtle citrus notes. Creamy texture and long on the palate with a very balanced acidity.
Domain PY - Carcassonne, France Antoine White 2022An intriguing blend of Vermentino, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, this white from the Corbieres manages to combine both body and freshness, making it suitable for an aperitif, but more than able to hold its own with food.
Domaine La Colombette - Beziers, France Sauvignon Blanc 2023 (11.5% ABV) A wine of great aromatic strength with a subtle mix of fruit, including blackcurrant and citrus fruits. The taste lives up to the promising nose and is both lively and long.
Domaine La Colombette - France Rose 2023 (11.5% ABV) Grenache. This light fruity rose is only 11.5% and can be enjoyed throughout a summers day. The wine is vibrant and well balanced with hints of citrus fruits and strawberries. Goes perfectly with salads and seafood.
Bodega Enguera - Valencia, Spain Crianza 2020 (14.0% ABV) Deep ruby red colour, plenty of spice and leather on the nose and a smooth long finish makes this rich red from Valencia a perfect match for red meats and strong pasta sauces.
Chateau Ferran Bordeaux Superieur Ferran 2020 (12.5% ABV) Good Bordeaux at a reasonable price has always been hard to find, but we think that with this vintage of Ferran, we have really got a winner. Smooth and eminently drinkable, it is well balanced, tempting and easy to finish the bottle!
