Helping Wixford Villagers
In 2020 a group of resourceful “Covid help” volunteers has been created in the time of need. The group was initially seeded from the members of the Wixford Village Hall Committee and it quickly expanded to include other members of our lovely community. Since then they’ve been providing assistance to people in Wixford and area. The help ranges from physical tasks – like bringing shopping or medicine, organising virtual and semi-virtual events like online quizzes, Wixford Fish&Chips Night delivered to your door. This help proved especially welcome during lockdowns, where access to services, transportation and entertainment was limited.
In 2024 Wixford Volunteers still continue to help villagers.
